Balanced
Fertilization & Weed Control I
use only safe and environmentally friendly products. Properly
timed applications give my customers a green and weed-free
lawn. I recommend a 5-Application Program, however, customers
may choose as many applications as they desire to fit their
budget. I also have organic lawn care programs for customers
desiring a chemical-free lawn.

Lawn
Care Treatments
Insects such as
fleas, ticks, spiders, and chiggers thrive in
lawns all summer. One or two insect treatments
per season can rid your lawn of these pesky intruders.
Grubs are the larva
stage of the Japanese beetle and june bug. the
larva or (grubs) feed on the roots of the lawn
and other landscape plants. An application of
insecticide applied in the spring will give season
long control of grubs and reduce high populations
of adult beetles.
Fungus or Fungi is a disease that infects
the leaves and roots of the lawn or plant. There are many different
fungus diseases that infect lawns at various times of the season. Fungi
is best controlled with a preventative treatment or in the early stages of infection.
Lime applications
produce a pH of 6.5 to 6.8, which is necessary
for the roots to develop and absorb fertilizer
treatments effectively. Every spring I test the
pH level of my customers' lawns free of charge.
Aeration allows
oxygen, water, and nutrients to reach the root
zone. This should be done once a year in the spring
or fall. Coring is good for new lawns, lawns that
tend to brown easily in hot periods, and lawns
that do not absorb water well after heavy rains.
A disc type machine
is used to slitseed the lawn. The seed is laid
into the disc rows for better germination. Slitseeding
is a more effective method of seeding than overseeding.
